There is no single best month for every Himalayan trek. The same ridge can be a snow walk in January and a flower walk in May.
Winter, from December to February, suits shorter Uttarakhand treks such as Kedarkantha, Brahmatal and Chopta. You get snow, cold camps and clear mornings. Spring opens the passes that held deep snow. Autumn, in October and November, is the season of long views and cold nights at the higher camps. July to September is for the Valley of Flowers and the routes that are meant to be green and wet.
Look at the season list on the trek page, then at the open departures. A date that is marked filling still has seats. A date that is guaranteed already has enough people to run.
If your leave is fixed and the season is wrong for that trail, tell us. We would rather move you to another trek than send you into a month the route is not walked.
